SOA Founder and recon brother James “Jim” E. Butler passed away on June 24, 2021, 2155 hours, taking his last breaths to the songs Skypilot and the Ballad of the Green Beret. The family plans to offer both a local military honors service @ Carmel Presbyterian Church and a celebration of life event later for Jim.
