William Edward Lawson

MSGT William E. Lawson was assigned to Spike Team Michigan, Forward Operational Base-1 (Phu Bai), Command Control Central (CCC), MACV-SOG, 5TH Special Forces Group. On August 24, 1967, he held the 1-1 (One-One) position with Cyril Gray the 1-0 (One-Zero) and Paul Bridgewater the 1-2 (One-Two) when he was wounded in action by mortar fire while on a reconnaissance mission in Laos.
