Sfc Robert R Miller KIA on 10-9-1969 when the helicopter he was in was shot down. The crew and 3 MACV SOG members were all killed. He has a VFW POST 9103 named after him.On 09 Oct 1969 the command ship overseeing an insertion was shot down just south of Srak Karan (1), just by the Cambodian border in the northeasternmost corner of Binh Long Province. The seven men aboard UH-1D tail number 66-01106, four aircrew and three Special Forces personnel, were killed in the incident:
