It is a portion of the Vietnam War as seen through the eyes of a Special Forces soldier assigned to B-50, 5th Special Forces Group (MAC-V, SOG). In a candid and engaging style, CSM Jackson gives examples of what missions were like and describes such things as the living conditions, equipment used, the methods, the men, the risks, the effectiveness of the operations, and his personal view of the war.
