During the Vietnam War thousands of soldiers lived in dust caked compounds. Some of them were under MAC-V SOG; like the Command and Control South (CCS) compound at Ban Me Thuot. Walter Jackson had many experiences during the time he was there and running clandestine missions in Cambodia. Being dragged through trees on the end of a rope; being chased and almost being stepped on by enemy soldiers; running down a trail to an extraction site with brass from a gun ship overhead falling around him; getting caught in an ambush; and trying to capture a guy on an elephant were some of them. Hotel 51 is the story of a mission that took place in November 1968 and stands out because of what did and did not happen. Some missions never went as planned; and being different always stands out!
